Kate + Jay at The Roundhouse in Beacon, NY
Overgrown and boarded up for years, a local Beacon family purchased the property in 2010 and a plan to create a vibrant hospitality business was put into action. This is one of the reasons we adore The Roundhouse. It’s a truly one-of-a-kind, historic property walled on two sides by a rushing waterfall in the very cool Beacon, NY. The management and staff are lovely, the grounds are immaculate, it has a ton of history (over 200 years!), and a way of combining rustic and modern for a vibe all their own. (They also have electric vehicle charging stations—love that!)
We were so very honored to play our part in Kate and Jay’s (third) wedding ceremony at The Roundhouse!
They eloped during Covid, had a wedding in India, then finally got their larger celebration with friends and family this past June. This was the party!

Kate and Jay reserved Game Rental Package #2 which included 2 sets of Cornhole, a set of Drink Tables to accompany Cornhole, Croquet, Tipsy Timbers (aka giant Jenga), Giant Connect Four, Giant Chess, and the Chess Lounge (2 large wooden benches with sheepskins). Their package also included a well-dressed attendant who was present during the wedding to reset the games as they were played, answer their guests’ questions, and offer playing tips as needed.
There were so many precious moments during this wedding. We love seeing how the games get adults interacting with children! They’re the ultimate family-friendly fun.
