A Fabulous Micro Wedding in Westchester

By the spring of 2020, every one of our couples had either canceled or postponed their wedding. Fast forward to the fall and some determined couples, like Jennifer and Andrii, forced to reimagine their ceremonies, have opted for a more intimate micro wedding— a celebration of 50 guests or less. So what does love in the time of Covid look like? These smaller affairs offer the flexibility to do more with less, to mingle with all of your guests, and for your creativity to really flourish.

New York wedding photographers Jully and Alex captured this gorgeous backyard celebration that included an extended cocktail hour complete with a champagne cart, beer jeep (which the father of the bride made himself!), and live music, the perfect accompaniments for our lawn game rentals! With dancing off the agenda, the games took center stage, keeping guests entertained outside for hours while safely socially distanced.

Sprawled across the lawn between the sailcloth tent and fire pit, the lawn game roster included two sets of Cornhole with Drink & Jacket Stands, Tipsy Timbers (our take on giant Jenga), Croquet, and Bocce Ball. This is part of our no-fuss Game Rental Package #1 which includes white glove delivery, set-up, 4 consecutive hours of game time, and breakdown.

“Upstate Jamboree made our wedding so fun!! We had an outdoor tent wedding and the games made it a blast!! We were afraid to have dancing at our wedding because of COVID & the games were the perfect solution. Our guests were able to mingle and relax while playing the games. Our guests had so much fun!! Thank you again for making our day so special!!”

Freelance Web & Graphic Designer

Recently I began taking inventory of my life, recognizing the shifts I could make to lessen my personal consumption and impact. Since we spend a quarter of our lives working, that was certainly an area demanding attention. So I left retail and begin my career freelancing for small businesses whose higher purpose transcends profit.

I believe in employing my skills and energy to empower others working to create positive change in our world. I support too-swamped entrepreneurs by breathing life into their brands and websites, allowing them to focus on the important work at hand. At the same time, I get to nurture my own entrepreneurial spirit while being creative and building truly meaningful relationships throughout my community.

I strive to inform, delight and inspire by balancing content with design. I consider the details without losing sight of the big picture. I aim to see around corners while staying focused on the moment. I'm self directed but have over a decade of experience successfully working with teams. And while I've surely got bills to pay, I know it's my social responsibility to be selective about where I put my energy.
